Samosir Toba, North Sumatra (ANTARA News) - Building "House of Bolon" in complex TB Silalahi Pagarbatu Center in the Village, District Balige, Toba Samosir regency, North Sumatra disappear engulfed in "red rooster", Saturday, around 18:00 pm.

"The source of the fire allegedly originated from the electrical circuit. The fire spread very quickly and cause the entire building sold to ashes," said public relations staff Sialalahi TB Center in Balige Fazar Syaifuhdin Saturday.

He said the losses due to burning of the Houses Bolon (large traditional house) are yet to be assessed.

"House of Bolon" burning the Batak Museum complex is located in TB Silalahi, about three kilometers from the city Balige, the capital city of Toba Samosir, or within about 250 kilometers from the city of Medan, the capital of North Sumatra province.

The museum was built since August 7, 2006 and inaugurated on 17 April 2008 by Lt. Gen. (ret) TB Silalahi.

The main objective existence of the museum itself is to maintain and develop the research results of Batak culture.
