Anwar Ibrahim: I'm Ready for Jail!

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim said he is ready to face a prison sentence related to the alleged act of sodomy. But Anwar hoped that the sentence meted out to him would not harm the party's coalition ahead in election (election) next national.
Kuala Lumpur High Court may sentence him to 20 years imprisonment if convicted of sodomy against Anwar, a man who is a former aide.
But in the last trial, Anwar is still at its founding with the denied charges. Former Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister was accused, Prime Minister Najib Razak has set the course of the trial in an effort to destroy the image and get rid of him. But Anwar's allegation is denied by PM Najib.
"We pray to get the best, that justice will prevail, but we are ready for the worst," said Anwar Ibrahim, as quoted by the Associated Press, Sunday, (01/08/2012).
Previously Saiful Bukhari Azlan recognition and DNA test results on the semen samples used as evidence in court has been burdensome Anwar position. But the evidence was denied by a lawyer Anwar said Saiful testimony often fickle and DNA tests had been manipulated.
Anwar said, he believes the government attempted to impose a coalition party in this case by bringing court proceedings against him to shape public opinion.
"Am I exempt or imprisoned, we must focus on elections and the people should decide. Make sure you come and be fully prepared to change the government in the next election," he added.
Over the past week Anwar has traveled to various states of Malaysia to meet with his supporters. The supporters of Anwar plans to hold demonstrations supporting him following his conviction to be imposed by a court.
The opposition currently occupies one third of seats in parliament. Anwar hopes this number will continue to rise amid public complaints associated high levels of corruption and governmental discrimination.
