Attack of the Church, Nigeria Militants Kill 15 People

Abuja - The militant group Boko Haram again launched an attack against a church in northern Nigeria that killed at least 15 people.
"We have decided to fight and defend themselves against the killings that did not make sense of this," said President of the Christian Association of Nigeria Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor as quoted by the Associated Press, Sunday, (01/08/2012).
The attack comes after a Boko Haram said it promised to kill the Christians who lived in the area of ​​northern Nigeria are dominated by Muslims. Responding to this attack, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor said it will not remain silent and will perform a counterattack.
"We can not sit and just watch people being slaughtered like animals every day. Those who go to church was shot and killed. This is unacceptable," he added.
The attack also occurred in Yola, capital of Adamawa state, Nigeria, last Friday night. Eight men armed with a face covered with black cloth attacking the Apostolic Church. The incident reportedly killed eight parishes. Responding to the attack, the Governor of Adamawa Murtala Nyako imposed a curfew.
Meanwhile, at the same time the attacks also occurred in the city of Potiskum, in Yobe state where a flock of armed men set fire to two banks and exchanged gunfire with police. Two people were reported killed in the incident.
Two Christian students at the University of Maiduguri reported dead after being shot olek militants near the state of Borno on Saturday.
Approximately 20 people were also reported killed in the attack that occurred at City Hall Mubi, Adamawa, after militants attacked the Christian Igbo tribe who were having a meeting. On Thursday night, the militants also reportedly attacked a church in the state of Gombe, left eight people dead.
