SIDNEY - Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard has spoken by telephone with teenagers 14 years who were arrested for allegedly carrying marijuana.
Speaking by telephone, Gillard said it would seek all means to release.

14-year-old teenager was arrested earlier on Tuesday, October 4 last in Bali, while vacationing on the island. He was arrested, as they are found packages of marijuana weighing 6.9 grams when police checked.

Problems experienced by adolescents who are known by the initials LM, became the focus of attention between Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd with officials in Bali.

While the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Greg Moriarty continues to be in Bali to negotiate his freedom teenager.

"When making a telephone relationship with Ambassador (Moriarty) located in Denpasar Police Office, Prime Minister Gillard spoke with the father and teens themselves," said the Australian Government spokesman told AFP on (10/10/2011).

"Prime Minister ensure that the government will do all sorts of ways for the child's freedom," he continued.

There is news that says, LM admitted paying Rp250 thousand to a man who is not known. The man confessed to the LM, not eaten for days and needed money.

Regarding this issue, the Australian Government has requested the Government of Indonesia to consider the juvenile be tried by juvenile courts.

Meanwhile, lawyer LM, M Rivan asked the police that his client undergo repeated blood and urine tests. While the Australian Embassy in Indonesia hopes that L immediately repatriated.

They consider the LM was underage so it needs to be consideration of the relevant psychiatric conditions. This case makes the LM as the youngest Australian citizen who was arrested by police for Bali drug cases.
