The explosion in Nigeria kills 39 people

Lagos - Nigeria blast that occurred on Sunday killed approximately 39 people. The Nigerian government also acknowledged, they can not bring a medical team in an amount sufficient to rescue the victims.

The incident was condemned by many leaders of this country in the world, including the Holy See. The White House also mentions this incident as an inhuman act. United States (U.S.) also expressed condolences to the citizens of Nigeria and promised to assist the Government of Nigeria.

The blast occurred outside a place of worship in the City Madalla. Boko Haram militant group accused of responsibility for the bombing incident.

"This cowardly attack carried out when the residents worship in the middle of the holiday," said British Foreign Secretary William Hague, as quoted by the Associated Press on Monday (26/12/2011).

The first explosion occurred at 08.00 on Sunday, killing 35 people, came a second explosion was near the mountains, the sound of the explosion was heard up to the streets of Damaturu. At the same time, the militants also opened fire and killed by security forces.
