HAVANA - Former Cuban President Fidel Castro said, Iran does not seem to be at war with the United States (U.S.). Castro's statement came after he met with Iranian President Ahmadinejad in Cuba a few days ago.

"I am sure, Iran will not perform an action that will create a war," said Castro told reporters on Saturday (14/01/2012).

"I knew President of Iran, he looked calm and not aggressive. I also believe that Iran has the ability to respond to U.S. aggression," he added.

Praise be to Allaah Castro also said the strained relationship between Uncle Sam and Iran would create a complicated problem in the Middle East and Central Asia.

When both enemies of the United States was met, Ahmadinejad expressed his excitement as he watched Castro apparently healthy condition. Iran also spoke at the University of Havana in Cuba and denounced capitalism.

"I am very pleased to see the condition of a healthy Castro commander," said Ahmadinejad, who spoke through a translator.

Fidel Castro in power for five decades in Cuba handed power to his own brother, Raul Castro in 2006 because his health is deteriorating. However, Fidel is still regarded as a very powerful figure and influential in Cuba.

Until now, Castro has always voiced commentary and challenging anti-ASnya Uncle Sam. Castro also became a figure model for leaders of other Latin American countries, such as Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, Evo Morales in Bolivia and Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua.
